Phnom Penh Post - Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, chaired a meeting to discuss the development of key strategies and action plans for implementing the Green Season tourism campaign.
The meeting was attended by officials from the private sector in the tourism sector, heads of the Phnom Penh and 24 provincial tourism departments, with the goal of attracting more tourists through close cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism, relevant ministries, institutions, sub-national administrations, and the private sector, including jointly developing strategies to reduce the cost of tour packages at tourist destinations, reduce the cost of accommodation at hotels, restaurants, tourist resorts, and transportation. In addition, stakeholders were also encouraged to jointly create more tourism events in the capital and provinces, with creativity and a Khmer identity, during this green season.
