Normally, the process of human height growth begins in the womb and continues until adolescence. In the process of height growth, scientists have divided the growth opportunity into 3 stages and called them “Golden Stages” or “Golden Stages”, which are the most effective opportunities to promote height growth. In this case, if the mother clearly understands each stage and focuses on providing nutrition, exercise and giving the child enough sleep, the plan to help the child grow taller may be able to grow to the highest level.
Stage 1: During pregnancy
During pregnancy, the baby’s body length can grow well, depending on the mother’s nutrition and emotional state. When the fetus is 4 months old, the baby’s skeletal system will begin to form and grow rapidly. During this period, the baby needs to receive sufficient nutrients, especially calcium, which helps bone growth. To satisfy both the baby and herself, the mother needs to eat foods rich in calcium. Calcium can help the baby’s length in the womb and is also useful for helping the child grow taller when the child grows up. In general, for mothers with a proper diet, good mental health, adequate rest, and a weight gain of 8-15 kg, the baby will have a standard length of 50 cm.
Stage 2: Babies aged 0-3
During the first 12 months, if the baby is well-nourished, the baby can grow about 20 cm, and in the next 2 years, it can grow another 10 cm. At the age of 3, the baby can grow up to 45 cm. Therefore, to encourage the child to grow well, mothers need to focus on two main points: providing nutrition and taking care of health.
For providing nutrition, the baby should be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months without adding external nutrients. After 6 months, mothers can give the baby canned milk, porridge and other foods that are rich in nutrients. In particular, for health care, the baby should be vaccinated on time to protect against various diseases. In addition, the baby also needs to be exposed to the sun regularly for 15 to 30 minutes before 8 am and after 4 pm so that the body can absorb vitamin D. Vitamin D absorption can help the growth of bones and joints. On the other hand, giving the baby enough sleep also helps in height growth.
Stage 3: Adolescence
This is the final stage that can stimulate your child's height growth. Typically, for girls, it is between the ages of 10-16, and for boys, it is between the ages of 12-18. For children who pay attention to proper growth, they can have the opportunity to grow 8-12 cm per year. And their height will stop growing after the age of 20. To help stimulate your child's height growth, you can focus on three points: providing a diet rich in nutrients for growth, providing vitamin D and calcium for bone health, and protein for muscle development.
